Ksenija Ilić, a third-year undergraduate student at the Faculty of Arts in Niš in the study program Performing Arts, module Viola, in the class of Assoc.prof. MA Vesna Rilak Stanimirović – is the selected candidate who is realizing student mobility during the winter semester 2021/2022 year at the higher education institution “Conservatiorio di Musica Niccolo Piccini di Bari” according to the University of Niš Open call for student mobility within the Erasmus+ mobility projects KA103 from 2019 and 2020, for the purpose of studying at foreign higher education institutions of program countries. The candidate also passed the classification exam in Bari and was chosen in a strong competition of candidates from Europe for this mobility. Scientific conference “Traditional Aesthetic Culture 14: Sensuality and Culture” at the University of Niš
The scientific conference TRADITIONAL AESTHETIC CULTURE 14: SENSITIVITY AND CULTURE, organized by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts – Branch of SASA in Niš and the University of Niš, Faculty of Arts in Niš, will be held on Friday, 5th November 2021, at 11 am, in the University of Niš multimedia hall no. 8. Due to unfavorable epidemiological circumstances, this year’s gathering will be partly held in a virtual format, and all those interested will be able to follow the presenters live on the Faculty of Arts in Niš Facebook page.
Awards to the Faculty of Arts Chamber and Symphony Orchestra at the Online World Orchestra Festival in Vienna
The Faculty of Arts in Niš Orchestra, under the conductorship of prof. Milena Injac, DMA won two awards at this year’s “World Orchestra Festival” in Vienna, which gathered 140 orchestras from 33 countries at its online edition in 2021.
First prize to Sara Stojanović at International student poster competition in Ecuador
Sara Stojanović, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, under the mentorship of full prof. Slavica Dragosavac, DA and Jovana Nikolić, DA, assistant, won the first prize in the category of tourist poster, at International competition “Signú Concurso 2021”, whose edition this year was dedicated to the design of student posters in four categories.
IX National Scientific Conference with International Participation BARTF 2021
The Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš, with the Branch of SASA in Niš, is organizing the ninth National scientific conference with international participation Balkan Art Forum – BARTF on the topic Art and Culture Today: Harmony and Disharmony on 8th and 9th October 2021. This year’s thematic framework of the scientific conference is dedicated to the phenomena of harmony and disharmony and their place and function, both in traditional and contemporary culture, as well as the all-pervading influence on creativity and culture.
Annual virtual exhibition of works of the Faculty of Arts students- 2021.
During precedent years, at the beginning of June, before the appearance of the covid 19 virus, most of the premises of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš – halls, classrooms, other rooms and even corridors became exhibition spaces where students of the Department of Fine Arts and the Department of Applied Arts presented their final works created in the past school year.
Ivan Brkljačić donated music editions of his compositions to the Faculty of Arts Library
Prof. Ivan Brkljačić, DA, composer and vice-dean at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, donated 12 original score music editions from his compositional opus to the Library of the Faculty of Arts in Niš. These are works written for piano, string and wind instruments in the period from 2018 to 2020, published by the “Rights and Royalities Publishing Company” from Belgrade. Prof. Ivan Brkljačić, DA previously attended the promotional concert of the discographic release “INSPIRED BY THE FLUTE”, where his composition “Joyful intermezzo for solo flute ” was performed by full prof. Andjela Bratić, MA.
Realization of the project “Improvement of performing abilities of young guitarists”
The Faculty of Arts in Niš, within the project “Improving the performing abilities of young guitarists”, by author Miodrag Obradović, organizes open lectures and a three-day master class for guitar, after which course participants will participate in studio recording of discography and concert performance. The realization of the project was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia. This project of the Faculty of Arts in Niš strives to improve the performing abilities of music art students, both in public performances and in studio conditions, with getting to know the entire process of audio production. Guitarist Ištvan Roemer, a full professor of guitar at the Music Academy of the University of Zagreb (Croatia), will hold a three-day guitar master course and a lecture “Overcoming nervousness in public performance and studio recording”, from Tuesday, 21st September to Thursday, 23rd September 2021. A one-day master course in music production and a lecture “Music Production – Guitar” by Dejan Pejović, full professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, will be held on Saturday, 9th October 2021, where participants will have the opportunity to learn about the entire process of audio guitar production. After that, the selected course participants will participate in the studio recording of the discographic release.
Aleksandra Stojanović, representative of the Faculty at the 14th Graphic Workshop “Sofia” in Northern Macedonia
Aleksandra Stojanović, a fourth-year student at the Department of Fine Arts, participated in the work of the 14th Graphic Colony “Sofia” in Bogdanci, Northern Macedonia, at the invitation of the colony organizer, the Faculty of Arts. This year’s convocation gathered six young and talented artists from art faculties and academies from Italy, Croatia, Serbia and Northern Macedonia, who realized their works in various graphic techniques in the period from 23rd to 30th August. The exhibition of graphics created at this year’s workshop was opened on August 30th at the JOUDK “Brand Petrušev” in Bogdanci.
Third place to Miloš Vuković at the guitar festival in Romania
Miloš Vuković, senior master of guitar studies in the class of full prof. Vesna Petković, MA, won the third place in the final of the V oldest category of the online Transilvania International Guitar Festival 2021 in Romania and a valuable award. Congratulations!
