The Kingdom of the Netherlands Embassy, in cooperation with the Center for Women’s Studies, the CITY Cultural Center and cities in Serbia, invites all interested street artists to participate in the creation of murals dedicated to the most important women of the 20th and 21st centuries within the project “Exceptional women of Serbia”.
The Faculty of Arts students at Belgrade Mosaic Festival
The mosaics of the Department of Fine Arts students – Kristina Jovanović, Sofija Kovačević, Vanja Radojičić and Jovana Djurić, created under the mentorship of Maja Djurović, Assistant professor, within the course Wall Painting, were exhibited at the international event “Belgrade Mosaic Festival”, which is held in the Heritage House (Knez Mihailova street no. 46) during the period 18th January to 9th February 2022.

The right to apply have domestic and foreign artists, students with outstanding results in the field of art they study at one of the domestic or foreign universities, as well as talented young performers with outstanding results in their field of art.
Celebration Academy on the occasion of the Faculty of Arts in Niš Day
This year’s Faculty Day was celebrated on 22nd December in the Faculty of Arts Concert – Exhibition Hall attended by the employees, awarded students and awarded members of the collective, retirees and Faculty management, in the specific conditions dictated by the pandemic at the global level. An exhibition of works by teachers and associates of the Department of Applied Arts and the Department of Visual Arts has been set up in the Faculty of Arts Concert – Exhibition Hall.
Stefan Velevski is a laureate of an international competition in Russia
Stefan Velevski, accordion student in the class of Assoc. prof. Nikola Peković, MAS received the first prize and was declared the Laureate, in the Accordion category, at 10th International Competition “Siberia” in Kemerovo, Russia. The competition consists of 19 categories, where more than 1,500 candidates from all over the world applied this year. Congratulations!

An exhibition of works by the teachers and associates of the Department of Applied Arts and the Department of Fine Arts, marking the nineteenth anniversary of the successful work of the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, will be set up on Wednesday, 22nd December 2021 in the Faculty Concert Showroom.
Double bass students at the 30th Bassomania Double Bass Festival in Belgrade
Aleksandra Trifunović, Mihailo Filipović, Nadja Dabetić, Stefan Ekmedžić and Vito Ilić, double bass students in the class of Associate prof. MA Ljubinko Lazić, participated in the master course of Roman Patkol and performed at the final concert within the 30th Bassomania Double Bass Festival in Belgrade. Prof. Lazić performed with the double bass quartet “4 and a half double bass” at two concerts at the Festival which was held in the period from 8th to 12th December 2021.
Students performing at A FEST in Novi Sad
The chamber trio consisting of: Jovana Jovanović – flute, Marinko Andrejić – violin and Andrija Djordjević – guitar, master degree students in the class of full prof. MA Dragana Djordjević, will perform on 15th December 2021 at the concert entitled “Similarity separates, diversity connects” within the A FEST festival, organized by the Department of Music Art of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
Concert of Piano students in Leskovac
Piano master students Teodora Spasojević, in the class of Andrija Mamutović DA, Assistant professor and Nikola Pavlović, in the class of Stevan Spalević, DA, Assistant professor held an all-night recital in the Ceremonial Hall of the City Hall in Leskovac on Friday, 3rd December 2021. The program included works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Medtner and Messiah.
Concert of solo singing students in Aleksinac
Solo singing students in the class of Saša Arsenkov, MA and Katarina Simonović Ivanković, MA, with the piano accompaniment of Jelena Deljanin Aleksić, together with students of Aleksinac High School in Aleksinac, under the mentorship of prof. Olivera Bojinović, will perform at a concert called “Russian Evening”. The concert will be held on Tuesday, 7th December 2021, at 6pm in the Great Hall of the Center for Culture and Arts Aleksinac. The program includes works by Russian romantics Tchaikovsky, Surin and Rachmaninoff.
