As part of the continuation of a long-standing cooperation between the New Bulgarian University in Bulgaria and the Faculty of Arts of the University of Niš, the Council of the Department “Musica“ approved and selected Danijela Ilić, PhD, assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts, as a member of the editorial board of the International Scientific Journal “Young Scientific Forum for Music and Dance” Within the international magazine team and the hidden reviewer of some published and future articles and reports in the journal.
The concert of the Academic Choir of the State Cultural Institute of Kemerovo and the Academic Female Choir of the Student Cultural Center will be held on Thursday, 11th October 2018, at 8 pm in the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom. The program includes works by P. Chesnokov, S. Mokranjac, G. Puccini, L. Prima, J. Levit, N. Page, J. Lennon, F. Mercury…
Within the academic exchange, teachers and students of the State Institute of Culture of Kemerovo and the University of Niš will hold master classes in the Academic Choir Singing, Solo Singing, Acting, Choral Conducting, Accordion and Piano, organized by the Student Cultural Center, Faculty of Arts and the University of Niš. The exchange was supported by the Municipality of Mediana, the Tourist Organization of Niš and the Student Center Niš. The closing concert will take place on Thursday, 11th October 2018, at 8 pm in the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom.
Antonina Vukašinović, a second year student in the class of prof. Jovanka Arandjelović, MA held a concert entitled “Music of my heart” in the National Museum concert hall in Kruševac. By this concert, she has presented an unusual idea, harmonization of music together with the dance.
Faculty of Arts teachers and associates exhibited at the exhibition “Measure – Border” in the Contemporary Fine Arts Gallery in Niš, dedicated to the topic of identity, which was opened in the galleries “Perjanički Home” and “Club” in Podgorica. By the end of October, the works of various generations and poetics will be presented by full professors Perica Donkov, MA, Jadranka Mišić Pejović, MA, Bratislav Bašić, MA, associate professor, Nikola Marković, assistant professors Jelena Kitić, MA, Stevan Kitić, MA, associate Miljana Radenković, PhD and Franc Curk, PhD, a retired professor.
Stevan Spalević, assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts, graduated from post-graduate studies at the prestigious “Scuola di Musica di Fiesole” in Florence in the class of legendary Italian pianist Bruno Canino. The program of the final recital included the pieces of Djerdj Kurtag, Johannes Brahms and Igor Stravinsky which he performed in the piano duo Stevan Nemanja with pianist Nemanja Egerić, the Faculty of Arts alumni. The solo exhibition of paintings and drawings by Jefimija Kocić, an assistant at the Department of Applied Arts, was opened on 4th October 2018 at 7 pm in the Contemporary Art Gallery in Kučevo. The exhibition will last until 18th October 2018.
On behalf of the Musicology Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Ivana Medić, PhD, musicologist and scientific associate of the Institute, has donated the latest publications of the Institute to the Faculty of Arts in Niš Library. On behalf of the Faculty of Arts, a gift was received by Danijela Stojanović, PhD, vice-dean for artistic and scientific work.
Anita Milić, Assistant Professor and Miljana Radenković, PhD, Assistant at the Department of Applied Arts, Faculty of Arts in Niš, take part in the international exhibition “MiniARTura” in Macedonia. The exhibition was opened on 4th October 2018 at NLB Gallery in Skopje. The miniatures were exhibited by artists from Macedonia, Serbia, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia and Slovenia.
