Katarina Djordjevic, MA full professor of the Faculty of Arts participated in the work of the First International Art Symposium “Keep Biting Me!” In Naples, Italy. Twenty (20) artists from the UK, Italy, Serbia, Egypt, Turkey and Iran have been working in the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli during their ten-day stay. The exhibition of the resulting works opened on September 24th, 2019 in the gallery “Fundazione Made in Cloister”. Katarina Djordjevic, MA full professor participated in 23rd Kunstsymposium “Kunst an der Grenze – die Macht der Bilder”: 23rd Artystuczne Symposium “Border on the Border – The Force of the Face”, Lebus, Oderberge, Germany from 18th to 31st August 2019. Artists from Germany, Austria, Poland and Serbia have been creating in the attractive space of the Lebus Oder National Park and the resulting works have been exhibited on August 30th at the Kunstpeicher Gallery in Friedersdorf. The exhibition will be open until the end of December 2019. The sponsors and organizers of the symposium are the Kostrzyn Cultural Center Lebus Cultural Center.

Perica Donkov’s exhibition “Blind Faith” in Belgrade
Perica Donkov, MA full professor presents the latest works created in the last four years at the exhibition “Blind Faith” at the Legate House in Belgrade. The exhibited works, in the thought-conceptual view, build on the artist’s previous cycles and a rounded whole in the visual-aesthetic form. The exhibition will be opened on October 9th by Čedomir Vasić, MA, Professor Emeritus of the University of Belgrade. The exhibition is open until October 23rd, 2019.

Concert of Guitar Quartet “4G’s” in Kosovska Mitrovica
Guitar Quartet “4G’s”, in the class of prof. Bratislav Zlatković, composed of: Miloš Vuković, Stefan Milenković, Pavle Žarkic and Stefan Dejanović – held a very successful full-night concert in front of about 300 people in the Great Hall of the Mitrovica Palace in Kosovska Mitrovica.

Jovanka Arandjelović, MA Associate professor, held a solo concert at the Theater in Kruševac Small Hall on September 21st, 2019. The guest of the concert was Branislav Miladinović, a piano student in the same class. The program featured works by Bach, Clementti, Chopin and Debussy.

VII National Scientific Conference with International Participation BARTF 2019
The Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, with the Branch of SASA in Niš, is organizing VII national scientific conference with international participation with the theme “Art and Culture Today: Metaphor, Perception and Symbolism” on October 4th-5th, 2019 in Niš. This year’s problematic framework of the scientific conference consists of three parts: metaphor, perception, symbolism. The opening ceremony of the scientific conference will be held on October 4th, 2019, at noon in the University of Niš Great Hall with welcoming words by Suzana Kostić, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Arts in Niš, Danijela Stojanović, PhD, President of the Program Committee of Balkan Art Forum 2019, Academician Ninoslav D. Stojadinović, President of the SASA Branch in Niš. After the welcoming speech, the Forum will be officially opened by Dragan Antić, PhD, Rector of the University of Niš. Plenary lectures will be given by dr Trena Jordanoska, from the Faculty of Music Art in Skopje, Northern Macedonia, with the theme “Music in Practice – Metaphor, Perception, Symbolism”, followed by dr Ioannis Tsoumas from the University of Western Attica, Athens, Greece on “Cultural Symbolism in Traditional Japanese floral motifs” and Jelena M. Sredanović, from the Academy of Arts, Novi Sad, “Woodcut as an Art Language”. The Forum will take place through several sessions at the Faculty of Arts in Niš, and the detailed program can be seen HERE. As part of the artistic program of this year’s Forum, Desislava Hristova, PhD Fine Art Graphic Artist, Sofia, Bulgaria and Slobodan Radojković, graphic artist, Niš, Serbia will present their creative opus. The presentations are scheduled for Friday, October 4th, 2019 at 8 pm in the Faculty of Arts Concert Showroom, Knjazevačka 2a. The attendance is free of charge.
